I've sent my livejournal on a vacation indefinitely because I was looking for a much more media-rich blogging service that could be the center of my digital everything. Who wants to use independent services for mobile blogging, file, photo and video hosting? Not me.
I've turned to Vox because it is the sibling of Livejournal, Typepad and Movable type--three of the premier blogging tools on the internet--and it is already shaping up to be directly compatible with these services. Not to mention it directly links to my existing youtube, flickr and photobucket accounts in addition to having a hosting service of its own.
Albeit it may be kind of cookie-cutterish, I've been overall impressed with the beta and what it has to offer. I figure I can get started here, still keep in touch with my livejournal community, and maybe one day make a seamless transition to one of Sixapart's premium blogging services at my own domain and of my own design.
I'm excited to see what the Vox team has in store for the future of this service, and am thrilled to be here. Add me to your neighborhood if you're a fellow VOX friend, and my Vox openID as a friend if you're using livejournal. Stay in touch, stay informed, speak your mind, and have fun. See you soon.
